Anthony Brown


Anthony Brown is CEO of AdTron Air Network and is a highly motivated executive who brings a broad and unique blend of talent and experience in the Concessions, Marketing, Air Transportation and Legal Fields. His vast experience in the Airport and Air Transportation industry include serving as Senior Vice President of Partner Relations and Business Diversity for Hudson Group, the largest Airport Retailer in the United States. In that capacity Anthony oversaw Hudson’s FAA and Airport Regulatory Relationships and Partnership Development. His efforts resulted in increased company revenue through his outstanding Business Development accomplishments in New and Existing Markets. Additionally, Anthony coordinated the development of marketing and operational procedures and standards for Hudson’s airport stores increasing their sales performance in local markets, in addition to sourcing new ACDBE Partners, and shaping company practices related to future market development, legal and regulatory compliance, partner development and improved brand marketing and recognition. Prior to joining Hudson, Mr. Brown oversaw the Southern Region Airport DBE/ACDBE Program for the Southern Region of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In addition to daily managing the FAA Southern Region program covering over 250 airports, Anthony was tasked with responsibility for the Development and Operation of the FAA’s 49 CFR Parts 23 and 26 National Compliance Program in which he oversaw the national audit of Airport ACDBE/DBE programs nationwide. Also, during his FAA tenure Mr. Brown employed his legal background by assisting the FAA’s General Counsel’s Office by authoring several FAA Final Administrative Opinions. Anthony’s broad experience resulted in his being tapped to provide testimony before the U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Oversight and Government Reform, where he provided testimony regarding the status of ACDBE and DBE participation in concessions and construction contracting in airports nationwide.


Prior to joining the FAA, Mr. Brown served in executive management positions with MGT of America and the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority (MSCAA). During his tenure with the Memphis Airport Mr. Brown served in several capacities including as the Vice- President for Human Resources, Business Diversity and Government Affairs. His duties included directing the airport’s Human Resources function including Training and Development, HR Policy Development, Employee Compensation and Benefits, Congressional, State and Local Government Affairs programs, which included representing the airport’s interest to members of the U.S. House of Representatives and U. S. Senate, State of Tennessee Legislature and Department of Transportation.


Mr. Brown also has extensive experience as a corporate executive and trial attorney. His corporate background includes Senior Executive level Legal and Human Resources positions with Northwest Airlink, Schering Plough Pharmaceuticals, Time Warner, and Harrah’s Entertainment. His multi-faceted legal career includes experience as a corporate counsel, federal government regulatory experience as a Senior Trial Attorney for the EEOC and in the private practice of law, as a labor and corporate lawyer. Following law school Mr. Brown began his legal career as law clerk to the Honorable Odell Horton, Jr., in the U.S. District Courts for the Western District of Tennessee.


Finally, Mr. Brown currently resides in Memphis, Tennessee and is very active on a national basis in the air transportation industry as a sought after conference planner and speaker. He is the 2010 recipient of the AMAC Award of Chair, given for excellence and commitment to advancing principles of business diversity in airports. Mr. Brown was the 2007 and 2008 Conference Chair for the AMAC/FAA Airport Business Diversity Conferences in Las Vegas and Indianapolis. Mr. Brown is and has been a member of numerous organizations including the American Association of Airport Executives, AMAC Board of Directors Member and Chair of the Government Affairs Committee, Tennessee Bar Association, the Bar of the United States District & Appeals Courts, the American Bar Association, the National Bar Association, the Society for Human Resources Management, Inner City Campaign Chairman for the Boy Scouts of America, and served on the Board of Directors for the Mid-South Minority Business Council.
